01/22/2016: The Vida condo project in 'Our Kakaako' has been cancelled. Call us to hear about other projects in Kakaako 808-943-9000.

Vida Honolulu is a luxury condo project to be located on a prime 3.5 acre lot along Ala Moana Blvd (888 Ala Moana Blvd), within Kamehameha School’s “Our Kakaako“. Given the expected level of luxury, the somewhat perpendicular shape of the building and the fact the developers - The Kobayashi Group and The MacNaughton Group - are the same developers behind Hokua, the project is by many expected to become like a new and improved Hokua.

Lanais: All units will have one, mainly in the ~50 – 100sqf range, and they will be rather deep, protecting against sun light to keep energy costs down.

Maintenance fees: Around $0.93 / sqf (somewhat comparable to Hokua and significantly less than One Ala Moana). The developers have put a lot of efforts in to efficiency, without compromising on luxury.

Location: Vida will be located on the furthest point west, along Ala Moana Blvd, where one still gets a stunning view down the coast line of Ala Moana Beach Park, Kewalo Basin and Waikiki. It is the current Cutter car dealership lot (1 lot west of the Bank of Hawaii bldg).

Views: The vast majority of units will have spectacular ocean views, as the landscape looks today. However, Howard Hughes Corporation owns the neighboring lot - just east of Vida along Ala Moana Blvd - and they have plans to built a highrise condo on that lot in the future. Such tower is expected to impact views for Vida Honolulu stacks "07", "05" and "03" in particular. Across the street from Vida - on the ocean side of Ala Moana Blvd - there is a large parking lot, where current zoning laws would allow for a 20+ story office tower to be built. As of writing, there are no plans to built an office tower to our knowledge.
