Aloha, this is Michelle Johnson with Honolulu HI 5 (company now called Hawaii Living). Today, we’re going to talk about the Pearl City, Pearlridge areas of Oahu. The Pearl City, Pearlridge area covers a vast, large area in the convenient locations of Pearl City. So you have everything from the Pacific Palisades, Manana, Waiau all the way over to the Newtown, Royal Summit, and Pearlridge area.

Pearl City is very well-known for how convenient of a location it is to live. It has wonderful schools, everything from elementary, middle to high school. It’s got all the amenities that you could ever need from grocery stores, restaurants, large shopping mall, and it has a large variety of types of dwellings. You can have your high-rise condo building with studios, one- and two-bedroom units, or you can have townhouses. You can have single-family homes, multi-dwelling homes where you can have multi-generations, or large investment duplexes, or four-plexes, and we also have the beautiful area of Royal Summit in which you can have your custom-built homes in that location.

Pearl City is one of the most convenient locations on Oahu to get to the downtown areas, Waikiki, the airport, to travel to West Oahu, or even to the beautiful Oahu’s North Shore. I myself personally live in Pearl City in the Waiau area. My step-children attend Waiau Elementary, and many of these schools in Pearl City, Manana, Waiau, Palisades have all been given outstanding awards for being great schools with great teachers.

The Pearl City area is a great climate also. You have your cool days, you have your rain, you have a variety of nice tropical weather. It’s really a family-based community that multiple generations have grown up in, and a lot of people enjoy the Pearl City location, the homes as well as the fact that you can have your homes which are in a C.P.R. development in which you have associations governing them, or non-C.P.R. so that you have your opportunity to customize your home without the rules and regulations of the associations.

The price ranges in Pearl City can go anywhere from a $200,000 condo or townhouse all the way up into a couple million dollars for a large custom home.
