About Shangri-La Kaneohe Homes With a name like Shangri-La, they've really got a lot to live up to. Fortunately, there's much to love in this community. The first thing to know, though, is that despite the fact that it's all single family homes, this is a Condominium Property Regime (CPR). So there is a Board as well as by-laws here to protect the appearance of the neighborhood and the property values, much like a condo building.
All of these homes sit on a dead-end street that snakes up the slope right off of Mokapu Saddle Road, not too far from H3. All were built in 1991, but they're not made from the same template. All are different, with two or three stories to them. Those upper floors, combined with the upward sloping of the landscape, are important because they bring to your home the views of the ocean of Kaneohe Bay that would not be possible otherwise.
The interiors spread out over a range of measurements from 2,600 to over 3,200 sq ft. You can add onto that 300 to even 1,600 sq ft of lanai, many wrap-around, so your full enjoyment of the outdoors, and your clear vistas, is indulged.
From your large garage, it's simple to get on H3, literally just down the road, and you can be in Kailua for dinner in no time as well. Or just follow Mokapu Saddle Road straight to Aikahi Shopping Center. Fill up groceries at the Safeway there, eat at Gyotaku or even get your car repaired.
The roomy spaces of Shangri-La bring a lot to the table – nice dimensions, ocean views, great location and highway access to make commuting a little less stressful. With all of that in their favor, they just might have justified that ambitious name.
