About Mariners Ridge
Mariners Ridge is one of Hawaii Kai’s exclusive hilltop neighborhoods. It’s perched along one of the ridges that make up the Koolau Mountain range, offering residents incredible views from almost every lot. The views from Mariners Ridge homes include the ocean, the Hawaii Kai marina, Koko Head, sunrise and sunset. Residents of this neighborhood also enjoy quick access to Hawaii Kai’s shopping centers which are bustling with restaurants, grocery stores, boutiques, banks, a movie theater, fitness centers, and a number of other businesses.  In addition, Mariners Ridge is just a 30-40 minute drive into downtown Honolulu, which offers working professionals a fairly easy commute

Access to Mariners Ridge is easy. From Hawaii Kai Drive, turn onto Kaluanui Road. This is the neighborhood’s main road and it takes you right to the top of the ridge. Smaller roads and cul-de-sacs turn off of Kaluanui. leading to even more peaceful areas of this already quiet neighborhood.

Insight to Mariners Ridge Homes
The lower section of the neighborhood was developed in the 1970s and the upper, more affluent, section was developed in the early 1980s. Houses in lower Mariners Ridge were built using a selection of floor plans that incorporated the ridge’s landscape. All of the homes in upper Mariners Ridge, however, were custom designed and built. Though the vast majority of houses in the neighborhood were built in the ‘70s and 80s, many have since undergone renovations to incorporate modern design elements, modern appliances, and even add additional rooms. From the beginning, the architecture of each house was designed to take advantage of the ridge location and hilltop perspective. Many Mariners Ridge homes offer views from almost every room in the house, along with expansive lanais that also showcase the beautiful views. Additionally, some houses have a private pool or jacuzzi, perfect for enjoying the scenery  or the stars at night.

Most homes in Mariners Ridge are two story or split-level, with high ceilings. large windows, and open floor plans. The majority of homes have 3 or 4 bedrooms and average 2,000 - 2.200 sq. ft. You will find an occasional single-level home though, and there are also larger homes, some of which have three stories. Homes typically feature a covered garage, alnd some owners have transformed their garage into an additional entertainment room, storage room or bedroom.

High at the top of the Koolau Mountains, it’s easy to see wy Mariners Ridge feels so exclusive.Residents have a breathtaking 180-degree view of the coastline on Oahu’s east side and look down to the city, valley and Pacific ocean below. The homes are well-maintained, beautiful and modern with island touches and tropical landscaping. It’s quiet and feels far-removed but is just a five minute drive down to the city. The neighborhood also enjoys temperatures that are slightly cooler than at sea level.

Mariners Ridge is a wonderful option for anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood with a taste of luxury!
